Biography

Prof. Jun Yeob Lee received his Ph.D degree from Seoul National University, Korea in 1998. After postdoc at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1998-1990) he joined Samsung SDI and developed active matrix organic light emitting diodes for 6 year. After that, he worked as a professor at Department of Polymer Science and Engineering of Dankook University and he is now a professor at School of Chemical Engineering of Sungkyunkwan University from 2015. His main research areas are synthesis of organic electronic materials and development of novel device structure for organic electronic devices. His research results have more than 600 publications, including Nature Photonics, Advanced Materials, and 100 patents.

Abstract

In this lecture, he will present recent results about narrow emitting blue multi-resonance emitters for organic light-emitting diodes. Indolocarbazole derived emitters were effective to realize highly efficient and narrow-emitting blue emitters by high photoluminescence quantum yield and horizontal emitting dipole orientation. A high external quantum efficiency over 30% and small full width at half maximum less than 30 nm were demonstrated using the indolocarbazole derivatives.
